Splash of Color Collage

Splash of Color #worldwatercolormonth

This morning I splashed some watercolor paint and I didn’t really like it much and I was going to try again, but,  I decided on another creative direction….to cut the art in strips and rearrange them.

Have a great Saturday! Rearrange things if you have to!

Card Collaboration

Good Morning!

Jill Kuhn (click her name to jump to her blog) and I are collaborating again, this time with 4″ x 6″ postcards. We sent each other 6 cards that had the beginning of designs and then we  finished the cards and mailed them back to each other. Check out the fun below!

Thank you so much Jill, your artwork is always so creative and full of imagination. We had such good time and it is always such a surprise to see how we finish designing the cards.

These are the cards Jill sent to me with my additions

Random Lines

My poetry book is comprised of lines of text cut out of magazines.  I laid the text strips out on the table and began shuffling the pieces around until some of the text began to make some sense to me. What in a fun exercise with random thoughts.

I thought a small book was perfect to house there words.

Watercolor Fantasy Collage

Good Morning – I’ve been busy making watercolor papers and experimenting with cutting, pasting and collage. I followed the flow of the paint and ended up with a fantasy of trees and slanted buildings. All great fun! Have a creative day.

Fine and Dandy

Good Morning , over the weekend I created this Fine and Dandy Raven. I enjoy making the water color collage papers and I’m always surprised the colorful patterns, endless fun.. The background is watercolor and watercolor pencil.

Have a creative day!

Trading Art Cards

Good Morning and Happy Thursday. Jill Kuhn and I are trading art again.  We had such a good time last month with collage papers we decided to make six  6″ x 4″ trading cards. We both created some drawing, painting, patterns, collage, and Jill added some sewing.

Thank you Jill for joining in the fun. I’m so inspired by your creativity.

Watercolor Collage

Happy Monday!  On Saturday, I painted with watercolor and created a variety of patterns then cut up pieces to make a floral sun. I enjoy this art making  method because of the many surprises of mixing the different patterns  and shapes.
