Fabric Illustration

Greetings – I’ve been gone for a few days, so I’m posting a few pieces of art making from the archives. Back to the drawing table this week.

The elephant made from a paper bag/ fabric and the gargoyle is made from fabric with some Photoshop enhancements.

Charles Dickens in a Cup

Good Morning, here is one from the archives… I’m not sure what prompted putting Charles Dickens in a cup, but I just went with the imagination flow. Have a creative Tuesday!

And… a special thanks to Louise Primeau https://louiseprimeau.com  for featuring my art on her blog for the month of March. Thank you Louise, I’m so honored.

Watercolor, black pen, Photoshop

Collage Bird Takes Flight

Happy Sunday! I spent several hours of joyful art making and my colorful bird takes flight.

This is how the bird started….Derwent watercolor and Sharpie fine line black pen. 6″ x 9″

and…after some cutting and pasting the bird is soaring high. The background is made with Derwent watercolor and watercolor pencil. 9″ x 10.5″

Draw a Bird Day

Good Morning – I don’t always make the 8th of the month for Draw a Bird Day, but today I have two birds to share.

Watercolor and watercolor pencil… House Sparrow

I received a catalog in the mail for window treatments, so I used the different patterns for the a dandy collage bird.

Sketchy

Good Morning – I used my LL Bean catalog as a model reference for this camper pouring his coffee. I surrounded him with my choice of campground. Drawing is so much fun, brain to hand to pen to paper. Have a happy and creative day.

More Layers

Art made while waiting for the plumber…a good distraction.

Exploring another layered drawing. The background is painted with watercolor. I then used a black pen to reveal the garden scene.
