    Those are pretty scary lizards – and they get big enough! And they eat people. I think they are able to be seen at the LA Zoo. Love the details of the lizard . . . those scales are just right.

I really like it so much. You did a great job of capturing the spirit of the monitor–stable, steady, and mysterious; and the physical aspects as well. I like how you gave it scales, and matched the tiny scale circles with the bubble-like circles in the background. The forked tongue is excellent. And the real essence of the lizard in its prehistoric-like glory is wonderful here, with the long neck, strong jaw, and piercing eyes. Background ferns echo the ancientness, too. Really fun, as always, to see your amazing skills. Thank you.
