Good Morning …I’m still recovering from my move, so pen to paper didn’t happen yesterday. I painted this group of dandy Chipping Sparrows last year. You may have seen it on Instagram. I do like to paint birds and of course lots of patterns.
Watercolor and micron pen.
So sweet and lovely!

Very fun painting, Sharon. I love all the different patterns from the soft-colored roses to the pointy mosaic-like leaves and square tablecloth. The chipping sparrows, anatomically accurate, and enjoying tea-time lend whimsy in such a sweet way.

I like the way the top of the bottom sparrow’s head is also the tea. Is the motif of birds in this last set of works to do with moving? I wish you well in your new home.

this is an intricate design; lots of things happening.
And you are very clever ie wise, in subduing the color palette and saturation to keep the balance in harmony!
I could not have done this – Learning from you, Sharon.
Thank you for sharing this!
