Magnolia Tree Seed Pod

My daughter’s neighbor has a huge Magnolia tree in her front yard. The seed pods are falling and they are so strangely beautiful. I felt compelled to make a watercolor sketch in my journal.

Watercolor and watercolor pencil 8” x 5”
Border added in Photoshop Espress.

Magnolias are glorious trees, with their big waxy leaves and pure white flowers. The seed pods are unique and beautiful, and I love it that you celebrate them, Sharon. Lovely sketch.

Your added border is great and really shows off your drawing. It is so interesting to look at this seed pod and something I have never noticed before. Thanks for sharing it with us, Sharon! ❤️
